Grammy nominee (2026) Benjamin Loeb and I are now collaborating together to record one of my orchestral compositions, Blues For Sagan, with the Lviv National Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra. The composition Blues For Sagan is the second movement from my suite Poetry of Earth and Sky and my orchestration collaborator is University of New Mexico trombonist/composer/educator Micah Hood. Recordings will take place in Lviv, Ukraine in 2027 and the journey I’m taking to Ukraine will give me the opportunity to meet with my Ukraine based film team.
In 2026 Dreamers2Makers Films filmed Annie Benjamin “live in studio” performance in Santa Fe, New Mexico at Engine70 Studios with guitarist virtuoso Randy Sanchez.
One of my piano students made his Carnegie Hall debut in 2026. Rushil Yeluri was a showcase winner of the American Protege International Competition with his performance of the Tuba Concerto by Edward Gregson. The audition video and piano accompaniment was performed/produced by my friend and colleague Benjamin Loeb. Rushil studied brass with Jung Moo Lee of the Dallas Asian Winds. Rushil started piano lessons when he was in early elementary school and his extraordinary culmination of hard work comes about in his high school senior year. When I relocated to New Mexico during the COVID period, Rushil continued remote piano studies with me as I converted my brick and mortar music education business into a global virtual operation. I was able to facilitate Rushil’s ultimate success with the help of professionals around the globe.
In 2025 my NFP entity Assignment Universe, Inc 501(c)3 became reality. Thanks to Marty Khan, Lenny Easter, Tom Frouge, Kim Noltemy, Scott Norville, and my life partner Annie Benjamin for bringing this vitally important initiative over the finish line.
In 2024 I was asked by Avokado Artists to re-orchestrate Grammy winner Robert Mirabal’s music so his music would be part of the underscore for the indie film smash hit Road to Everywhere. I was called into the film’s production as the original masters from Mirabal’s albums were not made available for use in the film that has turned out to be a indie film sensation. Robert’s debut starring role in Road to Everywhere is his latest film role but certainly has captured the attention of everyone. I ended up re-orchestrating all the music but kept Robert’s original instrumental performance from his album Warrior Magician.

In 2024 I produced my first “MasterClass + Festival” for Eastern New Mexico University. This project is a case study for the NFP entity Assignment Universe.
In 2022 I co-produced Annie Benjamin’s latest album Night Bird with drummer/producer Brady Blade (Daniel Lanois, Emmylou Harris, Dave Matthews) and recorded/mixed by Chris Bell (Erykah Badu, Don Henley, U2) My Dreamer2Makers Films team also produced a documentary about her recording sessions and the legendary Texas musicians that played on the album.
My 2021 ROAR ELECTRA - Stranger in a Strange Band album is a complete reimagining of my favorite songs from previous albums that I produced over two decades. This new album was recorded, mixed, and mastered during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns. I will never forget how my friends from all over the world worked together to make "Stranger in a Strange Band" possible. I am awestruck by the results and humbled by the musician's performances on this new album.

My 2021 Dallas Symphony Orchestra film collaboration “A Song for Ruth '' is the debut project for my film production company Dreamers2Makers Films.
In 1996 I was hired by the Omninote Communications Company and within one year I was appointed technical manager. Omninote is the modern incarnation of Telautograph Corporation, one the oldest communications companies in the world. The Omninote technology is a messaging system that foreshadowed contemporary instant messaging. I balanced my day job with personal creative work including international piano performances and music composition. These creative projects garnered attention from regional press and Grammy winning musicians and engineers. As a result of these accolades I decided to go back into music composing/performance and creative design full time in 2006.
In 1985 I graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree and in 1993 earned an Associate Applied Science in Electronics degree. In the years between those two university experiences I toured as a musician specializing in classical and jazz piano. At the same time I was co-winner of the American Collegiate Talent Showcase Bronze Prize as the result of my music partnership with saxophonist Mitch Paliga.
My life's work is music, composing, film, writing, education, audio/electronic engineering, programming, and education advocacy.
